The mind of the man who dreams...

September '24

“The mind of the man who dreams is fully satisfied by what happens to him” is a quote from André Breton's Manifesto of Surrealism (1924), which served as inspiration for this project. My main focus was to create a narrative based on the idea that in a dream state, the mind is free from the logical constraints of reality and is entirely satisfied by the events as they happen.

In terms of medium, I wanted to experiment with RISO printed stop motion by printing frame by frame, scanning and looping, resulting in this grain effect.

AR dreamland

May '25

Through research, iterations and exploring a specific location, my moving poster evolved into an augmented reality experience, through which the viewer can get a glimpse of the dreamland environment from my poster.

I chose to place the animation within the historic church building, allowing the structure’s features: its stone textures, windows, and spatial rhythm, to influence how the poster might evolve. This led to the idea of developing an AR layer which not only imposes the surreal aspect of my work, but it also brings it to life, immersing the viewer into that world.
